The 20th Annual Colma Historical Association Tea was a wonderful afternoon of history, friendship, and community spirit at the Colma Community Center. Thank you for a beautiful celebration of this special milestone.
The Daly City Colma Chamber of Commerce brought members and guests together at Dave & Buster’s Daly City for an energetic evening of networking, conversation, and new connections during our Annual Membership Meeting and Level Up Your Business Networking Mixer.
The Chamber was pleased to join regional partners at the South San Francisco Chamber of Commerce Awards Gala, celebrating outstanding businesses, dedicated leaders, and the community contributions that strengthen our region.
The Chamber recognized retiring Board Member Matthew DeVincenzi with a Gratitude Plaque honoring his dedicated service to the Chamber and our business community. We thank Matthew for his leadership, time, and many contributions.
The Chamber joined Mayor Sylvester, the Daly City Council, and community members for the City of Daly City’s Mexican Flag Raising Ceremony in recognition of Mexican Independence Day. The Chamber joined state and local officials, labor and business leaders, and Arevon community partners to recognize the construction progress of the Cormorant Energy Storage Project. The milestone ceremony celebrated collaboration and momentum on this transformative project in Daly City.
The Chamber proudly welcomes Grocery Outlet to 6100 Mission Street in Daly City, CA 94015. With its focus on affordable groceries and everyday value, the new store brings an important resource to local families and adds another vibrant business to the Daly City community.
CEO Felicia Leong welcomed the incoming Leadership Council San Mateo County Class of 2027 and wrapped up a full day of leadership, connection, and community at Amara Restaurant in Belmont. The evening was made even more special by spending time with longtime colleagues and Leadership Council student and Amara owner Reena Miglani, along with her husband and co-owner. A wonderful celebration of new leaders, strong relationships, and the local businesses that bring our communities together.

Grocery Outlet:: CEO Felicia Leong, joined by Chamber Vice President Kevin Tong, visited Grocery Outlet at 6100 Mission Street in Daly City to welcome this new neighborhood business to the community. Located in the former Walgreens space, Grocery Outlet brings its signature extreme-value shopping experience to Daly City while maintaining the personal touch of a locally operated neighborhood market. The Chamber was pleased to welcome Grocery Outlet ahead of its Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting, which was celebrated on September 10, and to recognize this exciting new addition to Daly City’s vibrant business community.
CEO Felicia Leong visited Labcorp at 1440 Southgate Avenue in Daly City with Adrienne Tissier and Chamber President Thomas Nuris. The visit highlighted Labcorp’s service to the local community and the Chamber’s continued support of businesses throughout Daly City and Colma.

CEO Felicia Leong visited One Life Counseling Center and Monday Market in San Carlos, touring their new offices and connecting with Executive Director Suzie Hughes and COO Michelle Stulbarg. The visit celebrated community partnership and One Life’s work supporting mental health, connection, and well-being throughout San Mateo County.

A massive shout out to Susanna & Philip Choe from Chick-fil-A Serramonte for creating an incredible motivational program for the students at @Susan B. Anthony Elementary. To encourage our kids to show up and shine every day, Chick-fil-A donated a brand new bike and helmet to one hardworking student from every grade (TK through 5th!) who excelled in their attendance drawing. The Annual Signature Crab Feed has wrapped up another successful year, with attendance surpassing expectations. Special shoutOUT to Chairwoman Marie Villarosa & her committee. We are also grateful for the enthusiastic support from philanthropists, FBLA volunteers, the CrabFeed Committee, and all attendees who contributed to the event's lively atmosphere while supporting SMC education. Organizing this event requires significant dedication, but the outcome justifies the effort, particularly in raising vital funds for Access to Higher Education Scholarships. We are out AGAIN! The international guests are coming. We are being educated. A productive day was spent learning from our host the SF Peninsula FIFA is hitting the Bay Area in June/July 2026. This once-in-a-generation event brings a massive crowd (average age 27-40, average spending ~$416 per day). GAME ON!
Thornton High School in Daly City has received a new wave of students and families at the start of this Quarter 3 and had their Family Community Celebration (FCC) for Thursday, 2/12/26.
The sun really understood the assignment and gave us an absolutely gorgeous sunset. I loved seeing so many familiar faces and meeting new ones. The vibe in the room was buzzing all night. Incredible food, great conversations, new connections, and definitely some new friends made.
We kicked off the 168th Anniversary at 7 Mile House - Historic Sports Bar & Grill7 Vanessa Garcia in Brisbane, and then attended the #Cypress Lawn Heritage Foundation's Casino Night in Town of Colma…everything was off the hook fun.

Jobs for Youth (JFY) is a County of San Mateo program that takes a holistic approach to supporting local youth. The program encourages young people to pursue careers and higher education paths that align with their passions, values, talents, and goals. The JFY program supports all County of San Mateo youth ages 14-21 in achieving their career and higher education goals via our three pillars of success: career & professional development workshops, connecting youth to employment/volunteer services within San Mateo County, and access to an annual scholarship fund.
